Relieve Dry Skin with Natural Skin Care Products
Dry skin is one of the most difficult skin types to treat because not only does it lack moisture, but sometimes it is too sensitive and can't be treated using traditional skin products. In this article we will review ways of treating two subtypes of dry skin: normal dry skin and very dry skin.
Listing subtypes may sound a bit exaggerated, but I assure you that it is not. People with normal dry skin feel that their skin is tight, itchy and perhaps a bit swollen. People with very dry skin, on the other hand, might have dry skin, dry hands, and sensitivity to various kinds of fabrics.
Normal Dryness and Dry Skin Care
First let's begin with the appropriate dry skin routine. Soapy cleansers are not a good choice for dry skin especially considering that soap and water are known to strip both natural oils and moisture from your skin.
People with dry skin should use a cream cleanser. Cream cleansers will help remove debris from your skin without stealing excess moisture. Follow up this step with an alcohol free toner to refresh your skin.
A good moisturizing cream is the final step in any basic cleansing routine for dry skin. Reapply during the day if you feel that your skin is too tight or dry. In order to exfoliate dry skin gently, use a homemade product made by mixing grapefruit juice with honey and oatmeal.
Dry Skin Care for Very Dry Skin
If you have very dry skin, you will notice that it still feels tight and itchy after you perform the previously mentioned cleansing routine. In this case, switch over to oils, not oil-based products, but actual oil. Olive oil and rose hip oil are excellent products for very dry skin.
Trade your cream cleanser for olive oil. Lather the oil on your face, place a relatively hot, moist towel on your face and let it set until it cools off. Then, wipe off the oil with the towel.
Use a creamy moisturizer immediately after, or apply some rose hip seed oil. This product will absorb quickly and lock in the moisture. This is all you need to keep your very dry skin under control.
Milk is also another great way of exfoliation for very dry skin and getting rid of blackheads. Even though it is obviously a natural product for dry skin, it isn't something you see a lot of people doing, however, it is quite effective. If you do decide to use milk, make sure that you moisturize immediately afterwards.
Having to choose natural skin care products will always imply a short trial-and-error process. However, the suggestions that were listed above are a good starting point for the treatment of dry skin.
Finding the right skin moisturizer is an essential part of any dry skin treatment program. Face skin care products such as BIOSKINBALM are a gentle and natural way of treating dry skin. However, if you want to soothe and treat dry patches quickly, you might consider using a natural product like BIOSKINBALM.
